Opulent, Peninsula Redpine Hotel

Opulent is a grand multifunctional banquet and meeting space located in Peninsula Red Pine Hotel in Mumbai. Designed to host an audience of 150 pax, the space plays host to multiple events including parties, receptions, conferences and social get togethers.

The challenge was to install a compact audio system which would seamlessly blend in with the  interior design. The system would need to cater to speech as well as DJ performances and provide even coverage over the L-shaped banquet hall. The low ceiling height and reflective surfaces of marble and glass were and issue to be considered in the design.

The R-Series system from Prym Audio was selected for the space, comprising of R12 coaxial speaker for the main mid-hi system and R8 as fill speakers.  These speakers have a very compact form factor being almost square shaped yet deliver the punchy output of larger speakers.

Four R18 subwoofers are placed across the venue for even low frequency reproduction.

The system delivers great sound for parties and maintains clarity and even coverage for speech applications.
